Susan Prevette

Contributor to Distinctively Christian; A Christ-centered approach to Early Childhood Philosophy & Principles

Susan Prevette earned a B.A. in elementary education from Gordon College, along with advanced early childhood studies from Old Dominion University and the High Scope Education Research Foundation. Susan taught in pre-K through first-grade classrooms for 29 years, including six years as the early childhood coordinator of Norfolk Christian schools in Norfolk, Virginia. Over the span of her early childhood career, she was an early education conference presenter at MACSA and ACSI and conducted training workshops and courses for the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) and The Gesell Institute for Child Development. She was an instructor and co-author of the training manual for the NILD Search and Teach© program referred to within the “Readiness Mindset” chapter.
