Stacia Emerson

Contributor to Distinctively Christian; A Christ-centered approach to Early Childhood Philosophy & Principles and Distinctively Christian; A Christ-centered approach to Early Childhood Teaching & Learning​

Stacia Emerson holds a Ph.D. in early childhood education and has over 30 years of experience in the field. This experience includes teaching young children in public schools (4-year-olds are the favorites), writing, and working in higher education. Her writing experience includes over a decade of being a standing columnist for ACSI’s early childhood magazine. She has served as keynote and conference speaker for ACSI’s early education conferences, on the board of AzAEYC, and as a site visit team member for NAEYC’s higher education accreditation. Stacia is currently an associate professor of early childhood and family studies for Southern Wesleyan University.
