What people are saying:
"In a year when our administrative team has been discussing
the question of how to assess the spiritual formation of our students as well as integration, this workshop was timely and encouraging."

"I was not sure what to expect, but I can honestly say that I was blown away! My own faith was challenged and deepened. It totally changed how I view Biblical Integration. My eyes were opened and instead of dreading how to incorporate the Bible into my subjects, I see that my subjects are incorporated into the Bible. I am excited to go apply what I learned and share it with other teachers."
- Mindy. 2nd Grade Teacher
"The relationship I have with Engaged Schools is one that I want to encourage every Christian School to have. These guys just get it. Their curriculum is beyond anything else I have encountered in the Christian School, especially when it comes to being “teacher friendly.” They have done the work that would take most teachers more time than they have, allowing the teacher to spend time adapting it to their own style and needs of their students. Their assessments are easily one of the most valuable things I have encountered in 19 years in ministry. They are able to help pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses of the school’s spiritual life, allowing faculty and administration to be specific in targeting what to focus on in discipleship. I have also met few people who are as helpful and genuinely caring as these guys. They go over and above to help make schools all that God desires for them to be. Get engaged with Engaged Schools!"
- Rob, Campus Pastor,
All of us in Christian school education desire an accurate diagnosis of our students’ walk with Christ. Beyond The Walls provides a valuable tool where students self-identify their stage of spiritual development. Beyond the Walls gives specific steps for students to chart their growth toward maturity. Beyond The Walls challenges school leaders to go beyond the status quo. The Beyond The Walls workshops, offered by engaging and knowledgeable presenters, have been given on numerous occasions in our region. Each time, school leaders have appreciated the presentation and more importantly, have come away from the workshop motivated to assess and begin students on a new journey toward spiritual maturity. I highly recommend Beyond the Walls to you. It has the potential to empower your schools.

In the fall of 2014 we initiated the Foundations of Faith curriculum to our entire high school. We decided to do that after looking at The Spiritual Formation and Worldview Assessment results from our school the previous spring and noticed that although nearly 100% of our students affirmed they had a relationship with Jesus Christ, many of them did not fully understand the idea of absolute truth and the Bible being the source of absolute truth. It has been a blessing to watch the students grapple with the reality of various worldviews and the invitation to be a knowledgeable Christ follower. Not only have the students grown through their encounter with this material, but also through their interaction with one another as they tackle the hard questions. As a teacher, I have also grown through the mentoring available from the teachers resource and the Engaged Schools Team. The curriculum is well prepared and helps to answer the most basic questions a person has about God, life and what is real. I am honored to be a part of this endeavor to develop genuine believers in Jesus Christ.
I had the pleasure of attending one the Engaged Schools workshops for administrators. The message he presented regarding sending our students off into the world equipped to defend their faith made me really look at what our school was doing to ensure this important skill was being nurtured. As a result of the workshop, our school participated in The Global Spiritual Formation and Worldview Assessment both last spring and this spring. Based on the results, we realized we needed to do something more intentional in this area. In March, we had the blessing of having Chris Browne come to our school to present the Connecting Truth Training. Going through this experience gave our teachers a completely new and different outlook on the integration of faith and learning. This had previously been viewed as a responsibility of the Bible department; however, the faculty grades Pre-K through 12 now have a new mindset and a renewed energy about how to bring Christ into every classroom and every discipline. There is a commitment to collaboration between disciplines and grade levels to create scope and sequence in a way our school has never done before, and an excitement about taking the steps forward, one at a time, to truly equip our students for success.
Having access to such a great resource, along with the support of Chris and his team in helping us move forward, is a true blessing. We really feel that this will be life-changing not only for our students, but for our faculty as well.
